Straw Hat Veil

Description

Every beekeeper should use the level of protective gear with which they can comfortably work with bees without feeling anxious.  Suburban Sodbuster recommends using a head-covering veil as a minimum level of protection.  This hat/veil combination is the same style as seen in many of Suburban Sodbuster’s videos.  The hat is a lightweight, breathable material and has a drawstring to secure the hat under the wearer’s chin.  The veil uses elastic loops to go under the wearer’s armpits to provide good and consistent coverage from the chest up.  These veils are packaged flat so some crushing of the hat is expected.
