Description
This swarm trap is a simple design and meant to be. It’s built to make catching swarms, or at least the attempt to do so, as simple and economical as possible.
Features:
- Built of wood for a natural environment, using sheathing grade plywood to minimize weight and increase weather resistance.
- Uses a hanger system for easier leveling, installation and removal of the hive.
- Interior of the box is scorched to reduce “new wood” smell.
- Box volume is approximately 40 liters, an optimum volume for honeybee swarms.
- Box is painted with a light tan (Glidden “drops of honey”) exterior latex primer/paint.
- Includes a three ft. bungee for use in securing the hanger “locking block”
